The two acceptable options for taking the oral exams are:
- Full Test: Administration of all three test sections at one time.
- Two-Phase Test: Administration of the simultaneous section as Phase One and, for candidates who pass to move on, sight translation and consecutive as Phase Two.

Internship/ Intensive Practice

This six‐week course is the final segment of JSI. Students will complete recorded interpretation assignments of authentic courtroom events, and advanced vocabulary research in legal matters. Additional materials for test preparation are also provided. Students will complete live court observations in their local areas. Live online lectures will address interpreter fatigue, translation theory, and test preparation.
* Students are required to attend 6 of the 8 Live Lectures but are encouraged to attend all.
